Email Deepti: dreim@davincischools.org Office Hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:50-8:35 AM About Deepti: I joined the Da Vinci Communications family to teach 12th grade English and to launch the Marketing pathway course. I feel privileged to be part of such a fun, collaborative teaching team that is committed to excellence in every student. My goal is to help my students draw enduring connections between literature, the media, their lives, and the world around them, and equip them with the tools they need to make their voices heard and to become compassionate changemakers in college and beyond. Before DVC, I worked for a public relations firm in Los Angeles for several years, and spent a year in Mumbai, India with International Justice Mission, a nonprofit that assists survivors of sex trafficking. Previously, I worked with the Human Rights Watch Student Task Force, mentoring high school students to become advocates for human rights in their schools and communities. I graduated from high school in Orange County, hold a bachelor’s degree from UCLA (Go Bruins!) in Global Studies and French, and received my teaching credential from Cal State University, Northridge. I'm currently working on my Master's degree in Education (Curriculum & Instruction) from Cal State University, Sacramento. When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me running somewhere in the South Bay, exploring a new hiking trail with my husband and my goldendoodle Penny, engaging in deep conversations with friends over coffee, or curled up with a good book. For Parents: I look forward to working with you to support your son or daughter in my class this year! I always appreciate donations to my classroom library or student materials cabinet.
