Driving Question: How can we, as students, build awareness about an important social issue in our school and our community?
Over the next eight weeks, we will create public awareness campaigns from the ground up, with real world guidance from 72andSunny. In groups of four, you will select an issue of local importance and create a comprehensive, multi-channel strategic communications strategy to build awareness among target audiences, and inspire them to take a specific step in support of your cause.
Big picture questions:
What social issue do we really care about? Why should other people care about this issue?
How do we lay a strong foundation for a successful communications campaign for this issue? What is our message, and who is our audience?
What are the ways that we can communicate our message?
What are the behaviors that we want to encourage through our campaign?
How can we present our campaign in an effective, professional and creative manner?
